About the Role

We're looking for someone to own PR, media, and trade shows for North America, across all our business units. You'll take direction and priorities from each business unit and turn them into a real strategy, then see that strategy through from planning to execution.

You'll partner with external agency support on execution — media outreach, drafting, and reporting. Your job is to set the direction: what we're saying, why, and when. You're the strategist and decision-maker; the agency executes.

This role is regional in scope, but we want someone who thinks it's bigger than that — bringing real strategic judgment, not just running the calendar. Consumer will be a big part of your focus given how much volume and visibility it drives.

This role owns trade shows and company events. You'll also manage budget day to day — tracking spend, identifying issues early, and ensuring expenditures stay aligned with business unit priorities.

Close coordination with global HQ is essential, particularly on PR, to ensure regional messaging stays aligned with global positioning.

Above all, we're looking for a true operator — someone with a hands-on, do-what-it-takes mindset who doesn't wait to be asked. This role requires strong leadership, a collaborative team-first approach, and a genuine investment in building and developing the team around you.

What Success Looks Like

Six months in, you've built one clear PR strategy and trade show calendar that every business unit trusts and uses. Top-tier media coverage and speaking opportunities are up. Trade shows run smoothly, on budget, with no surprises for business unit stakeholders. Your coordinator is growing into more ownership. And when priorities collide, business units come to you first — because you've earned that trust.

What You'll Do

Set strategy and stay aligned with the business

●    Meet regularly with business unit leaders to understand what they need, then build one clear PR strategy and trade show calendar for North America.

●    Get sign-off on goals, timelines, and budget before work kicks off, and keep checking in as things move.

●    Keep leadership updated, flag problems early, and help make tough calls when priorities compete.

Run PR and media

●    Own the PR strategy — what stories we tell, when, and to whom.

●    Partner with external agency support day to day.

●    Work the same way with our in-house Copywriter on PR content.

●    Stay closely aligned with HQ on global initiatives and localization to keep regional PR consistent with global direction.

●    Build real relationships with media and go after opportunities — interviews, bylines, awards, speaking slots.

●    Prep our spokespeople before interviews, and handle media questions and issues as they come up.

Own trade shows, start to finish

●    Run the trade show program end to end — planning, logistics, sponsorships, executive involvement, and any media moments tied to a show.

●    Set the goals, timeline, and staffing plan for each show.

●    Make sure the booth, materials, and messaging all feel consistent with our brand.

●    After each show, run a debrief and make sure follow-up happens.

Manage vendors and budget

●    Own agency and event vendor relationships — contracts, timelines, quality of work.

●    Manage spend and track against what business units approve, and report results back to them.

Lead your team

●    Manage the Events & Media Coordinator day to day — set priorities, coach their work, and hold regular 1:1s.

●    Help them grow their skills in media relations, event execution, and project management.

●    Handle their performance reviews and goal-setting.

●    Keep Sales, Marketing, and Product/Operations in sync on priorities so nothing falls through the cracks.

What We're Looking For

●    5–7+ years in PR/communications and trade shows or events (consumer experience is a big plus).

●    Strong project management skills — able to juggle multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders without dropping the ball.

●    Marketing communications and brand experience beyond just PR and events — comfortable managing brand consistency, messaging, and positioning across channels.

●    A track record of turning business priorities into a real strategy and plan.

●    Solid media relations experience and comfort supporting product launches.

●    Experience owning a trade show from planning through on-site execution.

●    A strong manager who knows how to get the most out of agency partners — briefing them well, holding them accountable, and pushing their work to be better.

●    Comfortable managing budget day to day in partnership with stakeholders.

●    Experience coaching or managing people.

●    Comfortable working with global/HQ stakeholders to ensure regional alignment.

●    Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work — applied thoughtfully, not as a substitute for judgment or rigor.

●    Strong communication skills, especially with execs, and good instincts for project management.

●    Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, Public Relations or equivalent

Nice to Have

●    Experience across both B2C and B2B.

●    Background in semiconductors, hardware, storage, or manufacturing.
